- and we saw her last night in her beautiful kingfisher blue and wine trimmed sari and matching blouse. She was absolutely radiant, although by the time we left was waning somewhat after her long journey home and the G & T.

We had a lovely night listening to Carol's stories from the sub continent, Eve and Nickolas kept us fed and watered throughout.

I would just like to start the Epilogue to this story by saying thanks Carol ffrom Beryl for this most entertaining account of your travels. You have the gift. We have the makings of a new movie. Bye everyone x

Can't believe we will be seeing you so soon. Spoke to Eve today, she was off to Barry's 40th birthday event. What with the stag do and his birthday I hope he is going to be fit for the wedding!!

You can always get a job as a cleaner when you get back with all that experience!! (only joking) Glad you are enjoying the work at Koraput, you will certainly miss that if not the accommodation and the constant cleaning. Have you applied for anything for your return?

We have just returned form France where we had a great few days with friends..lots of good food, wine and good weather. Reminded me how much I love France although with the Euro being so strong it is really expensive.

My goodness it's a small word - bumping into a fellow hill walking Scot in Dehli! I just had a hilarious conversation with Marie where I said "did you see Carol has been ill" and she said "Yeah Trisha Punch told me." It really made me giggle that Trisha who has never met you, is updating Marie on how you are thanks to the wonder of the blog!

Only a few weeks now until the wedding... SO looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up. I had a good nose at the photos of Barry's stag do via the magic facebook - looked very energetic, lots of mountain biking and no silly costumes or naked lamp post exploits... unless that's a different album not for facebook :-)

Anyway, see you soon x

Hello Carol and Hello fellow bloggers. I knew something was amiss. I have been in Nice for the past three weeks and kept away from my hotmail which is how I access this blogg and is also usually full of worky things.

This has been a journey and a half Carol. You must have felt completely vulnerable- unwell and in those conditions and the family must have been really worried not to hear from you.

We had a wonderful holiday, which included seeing James Taylor at the Nice Jazz Festival (don't ask). Carol, you know Nice well, lots of trips out and dreamy nights eating pasta in the Cours Saleya or doing the evening stroll along the Promenade Anglais with the whole of Nice.

Nice hearing from you all again.

Wow Carol you are SO brave. I am amazed, appalled, facinated and horrified in equal measures to read about your experience in hospital. I understand you're now in Delhi, I really hope things are better there?

So the whole "what is the meaning of the name Ettershank" conversation has brought in another Ettershank looking for answers! I've checked the tree and James Maxwell Ettershank (1871-1919) isn't in ours. Unless Carol's Grandfather George Henry (1873-1909) had a brother?

Only 5 weeks now til the wedding of the year (what do you mean year, surely it's the wedding of the decade)?!? I'm really looking forward to catching up with everyone. And I hear the mother of groom will be a size zero thanks to "the Indian Hospital diet" - apparently all the celebs are trying it. Angelina Jolie is on her way to India as I type and hoping to take home a new kid or two while she's there! :-)

I have to confess I hadn't read your blog in a while Carol and I found the information about the work you are doing out there really interesting. I must get my friend Vicki who is head of Geography at a secondary school to read it, she could use it as a case study.

Anyway, sending you lots of love and positive thoughts across the miles and hope you're feeling better soon.
